WARWICKSHIRE 2nd XI v AFGHANISTAN 2nd XI at
Wormsley, 29th June 2015
Warwickshire won by 8 wickets
Afghanistan won the toss and batted first and were
quickly in trouble at 25-4 with two wickets for Hannon-Dalby
and one each for Adair and Milnes.
Samiellah 45 and Najeeb 25* then added fifty eight for
the fifth wicket while a late burst from Shafiq 27, helped
them reach 130-7 from their twenty overs with Milnes,
Gordon and Hannon-Dalby each taking two wickets.
In reply, an opening partnership of 114 between Lewis 54
and Porterfield 62 set the base for a Warwickshire victory as
they reached their target closing on 134-2 from 18.5 overs.
WARWICKSHIRE 2nd XI v HONG KONG 2nd XI at Barnt

Match tied
Hong Kong won the toss and batted first at Barnt Green,
scoring twenty five for the opening wicket before Mark
Chapman 56 helped them reach a challenging 160-7 from
their twenty overs.
Mark Adair was the most successful bowler taking 3-29.
In reply, Jonathan Webb and Tom Lewis put on seventy
seven for the first wicket and when Lewis 82 was finally
dismissed, a victory looked assured but Warwickshire lost
two wickets on 160 including a run out with the final ball, to
also close on 160-7 with the match tied.
GLOUCESTERSHIRE 2nd XI v WARWICKSHIRE 2nd XI
at Cheltenham, 17-20th August 2015
Gloucestershire 501-8 dec. drew with Warwickshire
490-8 dec.
Gloucestershire won the toss and chose to bat in this
four day friendly, with Gilmour and Barrett batting confidently
on a good pitch, before Gilmour retired out, for forty seven,
bringing Herring in to join Barrett. Herring was dismissed for
seven but Barrett now partnered by Hankins took the total
on to 229 before he fell two runs short of his hundred.
Hankins completed his century and was finally dismissed
for 166 as Allen 53* with some useful support from the
lower order, helped Gloucestershire reach 501-8 declared
on the second day. Sukhjit Singh was the most successful
bowler with 3-91 and Phagura took 2-62.
In reply, Umeed and Lambert put on seventy five for the
opening wicket, before both fell within the space of nine
runs and Pollock 22 followed soon after, bringing together
Coleman and Mellor who then added 155 for the fourth
wicket, while Coleman now with Lamb put on 163 runs
for the fifth wicket with Lamb completing his half century
while Coleman made 165, despite only twenty overs being
bowled on the third day, as Warwickshire replied with 490-8
declared, as the match petered out to a rain spoiled draw.
