Warwickshire Under 13b
Development
2015 saw the first year of the U13b Development Squad.
The team played a total of 6 matches, which included 3
games at the Malvern Festival.
The first game was narrowly lost to Nottingham after some
good individual batting performances from Eva Billingham
24, Emily Naylor 18 and Evelyn Pratt taking 3-5.
The following match resulted in a very good win against
Cricket Wales, batting second chasing a score of 130,where
again Eva Billingham produced some top batting with a
score of 28 before being run out, Amita Rao 13 and a hard
hitting innings from Kirby Harris ,allowed the target to be
reached comfortably.
After having struggled initially at the Malvern Festival, the
girls came back well to produce an excellent performance in
their last game to beat Worcestershire.
Excellent bowling from Hannah Murray 2 -5,
Anusha Chauhan 1-6 Livia Plester, Grace Godfrey and
Amita Rao 2-4 had Worcestershire all out for 70, then the
strong batting of Amita Rao, Livia Plester and Hannah Murray
saw the team win by 7 wkts
The team was captained and led well by Hannah Murray
And a special thanks to Manager Trina Murray and all the
parents for their support and help with scoring at games.
Warwickshire Under 15
A slightly up and down season with Oxfordshire being
the thorn in our side! We started the season with the first of
3 t20 tournaments. In the first match we failed to show our
true potential against Oxfordshire but made up for that in
the second, with a resounding win over Worcestershire. In
the league we against started a little below par losing to very
good Oxfordshire side. We quickly bounced back however
with a comprehensive win over Shropshire. The rain affected
game saw us winning by 10 wickets. The girls continued
in that style restricting the next 2 teams to low scores with
some frugal bowling and great fielding. Shropshire showed
more resilience in their second game with us but we held
our nerve and gained a very close win. In the second
series of t20 games we failed to get in together losing both
games (the second to Oxfordshire). However we got some
pleasure and revenge 2 days later in beating Oxfordshire in
the league game by a large margin. With our big wins this
now meant we had edged Oxfordshire out of top spot and
were beginning to look like potential league winners, until
