Match Result: Yorkshire won by 8 wickets Yorkshire 2, Birmingham 0.
Birmingham, already assured of a home quarter-final
won the toss and batted, but were kept under control by
Plunkett, while 17-year-old Fisher picked up the prized
scalp of McCullum, who lost his middle stump
in spectacular fashion.
Coad took the wickets of Ambrose and Clarke, while
Woakes and Patel were caught off Pyrah, before
Rhodes mopped up with 3-27,as the Bears were
dismissed with eight balls remaining for 145.
Acting Yorkshire captain, Lees’, measured 63 off
56 balls whilst featuring in a century second wicket
stand with Leaning, saw Yorkshire home to an easy
victory after Rhodes had earlier fallen to Clarke.
Once Lees had gone, Leaning continued on his way
to his maiden t20 half-century and he was unbeaten
on 60 when Yorkshire crossed the line, with three balls
remaining.
